We offer a variety of loose leaf teas from Elmwood Inn Fine Teas. We serve only freshly brewed teas. We also serve iced teas by the glass.
Black Teas
Apple Spice - Flavored black Sri Lankan tea with delicious dried apple and cinnamon flakes. A year-round favorite.
Tippy Assam - A full bodied tea with a rich smooth flavor. Single estate. One of the best mellow Asams we have stocked. Tippy refers to black tea with gold tips or what appears to be a golden-colored leaf. The golden tip present in Assam tea, tends to lessen the astringent characteristic of the tea and make it sweet and smooth. Staff favorite.
Darjeeling Autumnal - tea from the Darjeeling region in West Bengal, India, has traditionally been prized above all other black teas, especially in the United Kingdom and the countries comprising the former British Empire. A single-estate tea that we're pleased to offer at an exceptional price. Makes a wonderful morning, noon , or evening tea.
Earl Grey (regular and decaf) - The world's most famous flavored black tea, delicately balanced with oil of Bergamot (similar to orange blossoms). This gives a bright, tart and refreshing tea that is unlike other black teas. Earl Grey tea was indeed named after the second Earl Charles Grey of Britain back in 1830s. Earl Grey was prime minister from 1830-1834 during which time the act was passed to abolish slavery in the British Empire. He is traditionally credited with the creation of this blended tea.
English Breakfast - A traditional blend of rich, robust, black Keemun teas from China. Blended to go well with milk and sugar in a style traditionally associated with a hearty English Breakfast. It is the most common style of tea in Britain. A great way to start your day!
French Vanilla - A flavored black China tea with the soothing aroma of vanilla. You'll think you are in a Paris tea room!
Ginger Peach - Sri Lankan black tea with peaches and ginger. Great hot or iced.
Iced Tea Blend, Nilgiri - This blend from the Nilgiri region of India makes a great iced tea. It will not cloud!
Indian Chai - Superb body with mellow Indian spice notes. Excellent with milk and sugar. This is the national drink of India.
Kentucky Blend - Our best selling blend of black Chinese teas from Yunnan. This full-bodied tea is a wonderful cup for breakfast or afternoon tea. it will remind you of a morning walk in the Kentucky countryside.
Orange & Spice - Flavored black tea, excellent with an afternoon dessert or a good novel! Black tea blended with cinnamon sticks, citrus peel, and spices. Warm and comforting.
Raspberry - Black tea with the delicious flavor and aroma of raspberries. Has a wonderful aroma and is good hot or iced.
Duchess Grey - Sir Lankan black tea with bergamot, lemon peel, rose and cornflower petals. It's as beautiful as it smells!
Pomegranate - Sir Lankan black tea with the fresh addition of one of the hottest fruit flavors in the news - pomegranate!
Green Teas
Serene Green - A blend of Chinese green tea, chamomile, lemon grass and peppermint. Green tea never tasted so good or so soothing! Low in caffeine.
Gunpowder - One of the world's best-known green teas. This hand-rolled leaf appears as small grey-green pellets, which brew a pale, bright green liquor with a delicate flavor. It is believed to take its English name from the fact that the tea resembles gunpowder pellets used for cannon. The tea of choice in frontier America.
Freear's Hope - A light green tea enhanced with refreshing ginger and orange pieces. A portion of the proceeds goes to breast cancer research.
Sencha Green - This is the most consumed green tea in Japan. Beautiful flat leaf. Lightly vegetative. It's healthy because it contains the powerful antioxidant EGCG. Drink four cups each day - hot or cold.
White Teas
Bai Mudan - A classic white tea from China with a lingering honey finish.
Rose White - Bai mudan made more delicious with rose and cherry notes. Serve hot or cold.
Mango White - Bai Mudan white tea enhanced with mangoes. Great iced!
Oolong Teas
Black Dragon - This Chinese oolong has a distinctive aroma that tea drinkers around the world know instantly. Excellent with savories.
Dragon Well - This is a very affordable lightly oxidized tea from China. Earthly and fragrant.
Herbal Infusions
Blueberry Infusion - All-fruit infusion of dried blueberries and complimentary fruits. Full-bodied and rich with anti-oxidants. No tea leaves and no caffeine.
Lemon Rooibos - Lemon grass adds a citrus highlight and aroma to this favorite South African herbal. No caffeine. Rich in vitamins.
Peppermint Infusion - Grown in the Cascade Mountains, this herbal has a brisk, awakening aroma and flavor. Contains only pure dried peppermint. No caffeine.
Strawberry Kiwi - Dried strawberries, kiwi, and other fruits, this makes a beautiful ruby red cup with enticing aroma. Caffine-free
